The internet brings the world to the palm of your hands. 

       There has been a great deal of focus since the Pandemic on online learning. Yet, we take the internet for granted, that all the information, knowledge and all the enlightenment is expected. It is easy to forget that there are people in this world that do not have access to this vast database of information. “The digital divide equates to 2.2 billion children and youth under 25 who don’t have access to the internet in their homes.”(HRC). The UN Human Rights Chief Volker Türk stated,”It means that they are being left behind, unable to access education and training, or news and information that can help protect their health, safety and rights”(HRC).

      For Wilmar Hernández, a tobacco grower in a remote region of Columbia, access to the internet means better opportunities for his children. “My children tell me they have learned so much from the internet, and that is so important..Now one’s children have all the possibilities,”
